Story Behind The Scarf

A rare masterpiece of equestrian luxury: the 1989 limited-edition Gucci for De Beers silk scarf. Commissioned to commemorate the legendary winners of the Royal Ascot Diamond Stakes (1951–1988), this exquisite piece features vibrant jockey silks hand-painted in the historic racing colors of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II. This dual-branded treasure is so historically significant that it is preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum archives.

Vintage Gucci for de Beers Royal Ascot scarf hand-sewn onto an acid-free conservation board mat and custom framed in a gilt wood frame to celebrate the unique character of the hand-rolled edges. Hanging hardware included.
