The scarf is hand-sewn onto the mat to celebrate the unique character of the hand-rolled edges.

Story Behind The Scarf

Born from a legacy of harness-making, the Hermès Grand Galop scarf captures the raw, kinetic engird of horses racing into the night. Created by artist Thibaut Huchard for the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, this 90 cm silk twill carré transforms tradition into high contemporary art with graphic-novel-inspired linework and spirited movement.

Every strand of silk breathes life into these galloping figures, embodying an untamed freedom and charismatic femininity. Rooted in the house’s equestrian heritage, yet radically forward-looking, it is a wearable masterpiece that celebrates the boundless power of continuous creation.

Vintage Hermès 100% silk Grand Galop scarf hand-sewn onto an acid-free conservation board mat and custom framed in a gilt wood frame to celebrate the unique character of the hand-rolled edges. Hanging hardware included.
